Hey guys,

I have a couple of doubts about forming the company. I did some research and I found that LLC is the most popular model for creating a business on Amazon, also I heard some states are recommended like Delaware or Wyoming because they have some tax benefits, but also I wonder if it is okay to form the LLC in a different state even though I live in the state of South Carolina. I would like to know what steps to take for that process and if I can do this myself or if I need to pay to some accounting firm or go through some platform like LegalZoom or something like that.

thanks so much!

Hi David,

You definitely can get an LLC that is out of state. Personally, I live in Nevada and my LLC is in Wyoming. You can get your LLC on Legal Zoom or you can contact a lawyer.

I hope that this helps!

Carrie 🙂

Hi David, Amazon have launched a newer service which is called IP accelarator it is for those people who wants to to file for a brand registry so you click on one of those companies, which are handpicked by amazon and this service is inside of an amazon and so you file for it the advantage is that you get enrolled in amzon brand registry in like a 1 to 2 weeks where then you can start selling products under that brand name.
