Hello Helium 10 community,
I’m in the early stages of my Amazon FBA journey and aiming to build a high-quality brand in the long term. Right now, I'm looking for advice on identifying a profitable product to sell as a first step—something I can source from Alibaba to generate income that will eventually fund my primary brand, focused on premium jewelry boxes and related products.
I’d love any insights on:
Finding a “quick win” product with good demand but low competition.
Criteria for vetting suppliers on Alibaba for quality and reliability at this stage.
Tips on balancing quality with profitability, especially for initial products meant to build cash flow.
Any help, advice, or resources on product research and early-stage strategies would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Hi Yusef!
You can use our Black Box tool to help find products that have good demand and low competition.
The Keywords tab can be a good place to start. Some filters that can help show the demand are Search Volume and Monthly Revenue where you can set the minimum criteria you'd expect from these products.
Filters that can identify the less saturated products are Competing Products and Title Density. Competing products will show you how many products appear in the Search Results for the given keyword and Title Density represents how many other products on page 1 have that exact phrase in their Title.
The lower the Competing Products and Title Density, the easier it can be to rank better for these products.
To ensure quality, you can open up the Review Analyzer feature in the Chrome Extension to learn what buys are saying about these products and take that into consideration when sourcing/launching to improve the experience.
