Search volume fluctuates based on trends, seasonality, and demand. Analyzing historical search volume can help you prioritize high-value keywords and spot emerging trends before competitors do. This is especially useful for seasonal products like holiday decor or summer essentials.

Here's a step-by-step on how you can check the search volume history.

To check search volume history, first locate the search volume column in Cerebro, where each keyword is paired with a metric showing how many times it was searched in the last 30 days.

Next, click the graph icon next to the keyword to access the search volume history graph, which reveals its historical performance and monthly fluctuations, allowing you to determine if the keyword's popularity is growing or declining. Additionally, you can compare search volume across platforms by using the dropdown menu to view data for Amazon, Google, or Walmart, helping you identify whether a trend is specific to Amazon or part of a broader e-commerce pattern.

The Search Volume Trend column further indicates whether a keyword's popularity is on the rise or in decline—for instance, a 30% drop from the previous month might signal that it is losing traction. Finally, by filtering keywords with increasing search volume in Cerebro, you can pinpoint emerging trends and prioritize those showing consistent upward momentum for long-term sales.

Make sure you guys do this for your own ASINs as understanding search volume trends will help you minimize your marketing budget or at least allocate it efficiently. Prioritizing keywords with rising search volume ensures higher visibility, better conversion rates, and optimized PPC campaigns.
