Questions.
1. When I have identified a product I wish to procure samples for, the next step involves ensuring its approval and absence of trademarks or patents. Sourcing a supplier and requesting a sample, which may take 2-3 weeks. Upon receipt, if the sample meets expectations, the subsequent phase of approval and production can span 4-8 weeks. How can I make sure specific product is safe to buy and proceed with its sale?
2. If Product I like is already sold by 3 other sellers, its just wrapped differently by each seller with different logo, yet its from China and on Alibaba it shows I can add custom details, what is best way to proceed?
3. Since Amazon can take some time to approve new product listing, do you recommend listing it with pictures while I wait for the shipment? Is there a pause or on hold option for it not to go life? I want to make sure I get all ducks in the row, not wait till last minute.
What do you mean by safe to buy? If you mean how can you trust supplier, well, theres couple things: use alibaba trade assurance and make sure you get an inspection. Now if you mean by legality of buying it as far as patents go and things like that, every seller has their own ways, or risk tolerance for how they deal with that. I personally always differentiate the product slightly, I never get one 100% same as what they already have, with just different package. Ill add something to it, or change color, or do something.... New listings do not take time to be approved. I personally do not make the full listing until its going to arrive on amazon so that it stays supressed. And i set the launch date farther in the future.
